WHAT IS MLM?
Some say Making Lots of Money, others say Most Lose Money. What is it to YOU?
To many that have given up it's a bad name. To others that make a good living there because they were persistent enough to overcome the obstacles, they love it. How about you?
MLM is NOT for the faint hearted. MLM is "WORK" and lots of it. Those that think all they need to do is "signup" and wait for the checks to roll in.....will be waiting till eternity. It just doesn't happen that way. It would be nice, that that's unrealistic.
It all depends on YOU. Do you want to make it work? Do you believe you can do it? Do you have what it takes to be successful? Do you have a dream? Are you willing to do whatever it takes to be successful? Are you willing to "WORK"?
What does it take?
First off, if you want to be truly successful, you must be willing to change. Personal growth and self development are KEY to your success. Start with you. Learn to develop people skills.
Remember if you think you can or if you think you can't ....you are always right. Anyone can do anything if they believe they can and are persistent enough to learn.
You also must learn your success starts and ends with YOU. Do not depend on anyone else. If you're blessed enough to find a good company, that's a plus. If you happen to find an upline that actually works with you or helps you, that is an added plus. All too often people become dependant on others, and tend to be crushed because maybe a company or an upline didn't do what they felt they should, and they let is steal their dream. DON'T DO THAT. Do whatever it takes to make your dreams come true.
You must learn to forget about yourself and put OTHERS first. If you get out of your shell, and start to think of others, and help them get what they want, you will be highly successful in TIME.
"TIME" is the critical element. It takes time to develop and grow. Just as when you plant a garden, you first must fertilize the soil. Then you put the seeds in the ground and take care of them, pull the weeds and get rid of them. Water the seeds until they sprout and start growing. You do not put seeds in the ground ONE day, and go out the next day and expect a massive harvest.
Why is it people in MLM think that they should be rich overnight with no work? If you're business is not growing to the point you think it should, look to yourself and see why not? Are you out there daily doing productive things? In MLM the only thing that counts as productive, is contacting live people and sharing your opportunity OR following up with propsects and customers. IF you are not recruiting customers and prospects you are not going to grow a business.
BOTTOM LINE - don't wait for someone to do it for you....make it happen yourself. I have never expected anyone to do anything for me. I know that it depends on ME, myself and I. If I want my business to succeed I have to get out and do whatever it takes to make it happen.
Same goes for you. What do you want out of this business? Think about it. How bad do you really want this to work?
If you want it to work, then you must take the steps to make it happen. You must develop the skills necessary to help others, and that starts with YOU. You may have to get out of that comfort zone. You will find if you do things that make you very uncomfortable, but FORCE yourself to do them, the more you do them the bigger that comfort zone becomes.
More often than not the very thing we fear most never actually happens.
If you are in MLM to try to get rich or make a lot of money, and you focus on the money aspect, I can almost guarantee you that you will fail.
If you put your focus on learning to grow as a person, and learning to get out of that comfort zone, learning to think first of others, you will be very successful.
MLM is NOT about "making lost of money" as I hear folks joke all the time. It's about personal development, gaining confidence, and growing as a person so you can develop the skills needed to be a success.
It's NOT about companies, or products, or my company being better than your company, it's about people. It's about dreams and lifestyles....and helping folks succeed.
I've learned a lot and changed a lot over the past few years in this business....and I feel like I've only just begun. I believe the industry as a whole is changing, and growing up.
I firmly believe that we can develop multiple income streams, and help teach others. The internet has changed the way we do business. I know of no other place I can work safely at 3 AM if I chose to. I know of no other place, I can reach out so easily across the country, make friends in all states and work together. DO YOU?
Because of the internet, today some of my very best friends are in states I'd only heard of before network marketing. Because of MLM I've traveled to many places, I'd only dreamed of. I've visited and met downline that I'd only talked to on the phone and worked with online, and we've become the best of friends.
I'm thankful for the lessons I've learned in this industry. It's not been all peaches and cream, it's been lots of ups and downs, but bottom line, It's been the experience of my life. I've learned many lessons, I've met many crooks, and scam artists, and learned to not to judge a book by it's cover. Through it all the good folks far outweigh the bad, and those that can learn to overcome the obstacles, and grow into a better person because of it can be wildly successful.
Bottom line...there is NO way you can fail, if you get out and do the things that ensure your success. Grow as a person, learn to think and act in a positive manner. Learn to meet new people, and find out what it is they want. If you can find out what someone WANTS (their why) and can show them how to get it, you will be a great success.
MLM can be the greatest business in the world, if you're willing to make things happen. You can make money or excuses but NEVER both. Get out and go to work today. Do something Today to improve yourself. Read a chapter EVERY Day in a good self improvement book. Listen to positive motivating tapes as you make that daily commute in rush hour traffic. Make creative use of that time by working on personal development.
IF you do that....every day, you will grow better and better and MLM will be about Making Lots of Money because money is the by-product of success.
So remember always to repeat these words as you grow your business - "If it's to be, it's up to ME! You can succeed or fail...but it starts with YOU. Your sponsor can't do it for you, your upline can't do it for you, the company can't do it for you, only YOU can make things happen.
Just depends on how badly you want your dreams to happen.
